Default E350 brake pads replacement ???

Have anyone DIY the E350 brake pads replacement ??? I've read these on one of the auto parts site:
Notes: Important: SBC brake system MUST be deactivated using Mercedes Star Diagnosis tool. When activated, the SBC brake system builds up high pressure in the brake system. The automatic extension of the caliper pistons may result in serious bodily injury. Brake pressure may cause brake fluid to escape at high pressure, with possible resulting damage or injury. Maintenance or repair work must NEVER be performed on an active SBC brake system.
I usually change brake pads on all of my other cars except Benz... Is there any diff from Benz to the rest of the cars ???

Yes one can replace the brake pads on a SBC Mercedes ..without the SDS..
Unplug the SBC

or

Lock the car

the proceed

do NOT unlock or open a door while doing the brakes ..that will cycle the SBC pump..and IF You fingers are in the way you will lose a finger / s also the pressure will shoot the caliper pistons out of the calipers

Default urgent-brakes on a c320

Does the 04 e320 have the SBC system on it. I understand that this system maintains pressure in the brake system and will eject the caliper piston if you don't shut it down. Will locking the doors disable the system so the brake pads and rotors can be replaced?

I'm looking to replace the rear pads on my 2007 E350 this weekend. Just to be clear, it should be safe enough to attempt as long as the doors are closed and locked, correct?

Alternatively, (or in addition) could I simply unplug the battery to disable the SBC?

Thanks in advance!

Default How to deactivate SBC on e350?

Dear Members,

Similar to Rook, I need to change the brake pads on a 2007 e350. Any guidance on how to deactivate the SBC is appreciated. Also, as I have read in this forum, would a member who has changed the brake pad on an e350 with SBC, confirm that by locking the doors the SBC will be deactivated?

Thank you all, AJ
