Trunk won't auto-close
My '06 CLS500's trunk stopped functioning normally yesterday. When opening it 'electronically' (remote, button on door) it will only open to rougly the half way point. In this state, the buttons to close/close & lock are not lit (enabled) when in this position. When attempting to close itmanually by pushing it down, when it's roughly 1/4 open the buttons become enabled again and will in fact close the trunk if pressed.
To open the trunk completely, it takes some force to get it to open beyond the half way point...seems the 'friction' is coming from the left hand hinge if that means anything.
What could be causing this and is there something I can do tofix/reset it?
Thanks,
-Darryl
