No throttle response in my 99 CLK320, engine rpm oscillates by itself in low range
#2
The original problem was that the engine didn't respond to the gas pedal. It was running on low rpm 700 - 1200, oscillating up and down by itself. The throttle didn't open when stepping on the gas. I removed the throttle body and put it on the top of the engine still connected. This allowed me to observe the throttle. When I got another used ECU and connected to the car I could open the throttle by operating the gas linkage. I couldn't start the engine because of the immobilizer. So, I removed the Motorola mcu ZC432594CFN from the old ECU and installed it in the new one. Now I can start the engine with the new ECU but the problem with the throttle is back again. It looks like the problem was transferred with the mcu. What do you think guys ? I was trying to get a schematic of the ecu so I would know what which component represents but so far I wasn't successful in finding one. Swapping chips without knowing what they are is not a good idea. I found similar topics posted by other people on various forums but without resolving the problem. To transfer the data from original ecu to the repacement ecu I used Carsoft 7.4. After running the test ME module came clear, no errors. Only EIS module shows error B1057. Please give me your feedback.
