Default Central Locking

Hi, I am at the early stages of contemplating buying myself an A class. Something is concerning me and that is I am led to believe when inside the car, I can not centrally lock myself in, which apparently is meant to be a safety feaure.... however my partners C Class kompressor does have this facility.

I only set it to lock when I first get in the car at night after work, as my car is parked up in an unlit and wooded car park, and I am concerned that someone could leap in before I drive off.. unlikely I know, but there have been a few thefts in the carpark, and as a lone female I feel quite vulnerable.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. It would be nice if it is across the range. I suppose I need to chat to a dealer.

My other choice of car is the new Fiat 500, they look such fun cars, compared to the sensible mercs.
