Question Seat Control Module Drains Battery - Need Advice

NOTE: First take a look at this: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w203...ower-seat.html

Hey, my seat control model also drains my car battery..
My car is Mercedes CL500 W215, it has a different seat control model connector and only has one 12v wire and one ground, i was wondering if this method would work on my model. Heres a few diagrams:

Connetor Pins: http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5...orspinsqy5.png
If i cut the 13.20 cable and connect it to the 13.14 cable will the seats work when the key ignition is active? Wouldn't it harm anything? (burn cables / blow fuses etc)
Any ideas how to make the seats only work when the key is in pos. 1? Thanks!

why messwith factory wiring and by pass relays that is very dangerous and i've see them catch fire quickly see the post i made to the 203 with seats inop . the amp draw test will determin which module is at fault. in your case if you know best to buy the module rather than bypass the relays internal in the module ( the short causingthe amp draw is internal in the module causing the batt. to drain. ) bypassing doesnot do anything you will still have excessive draw on the system
