navigation screen problem
i have a 2004 cl600. occasionally when i start the car after a stop, the radio, or whatever i have turned on doesn't work, the nav screen seems to freeze up and when i check my functions on the dash, the functions controlled from the nav. screen don't register. after a few minutes everything is back up and running properly. this happens occasionally, maybe once every 15 starts and then corrects itself in a minute, or two. any ideas what the problem might be. i've only owned the car 1 week so i don't know how long this has been happening.

The computer systems in the car is so intricate and sometimes need to go by a series of sequenced events to boot up properly. At least, that's how it was explained to me. IOW, Unlock the car, get in the seat, close the door, foot on brake, insert key, turn ignition on, start the car, count 2 sec., start powering on systems and wait.
sometimes, you may have to reset the car's memory by undoing the battery for about 5 minutes, and then reconnecting it. It will now start to re-learn your driving habits and adjust accordingly. Again, as it was explained to me. so, I've done it and seems to work for me.
