Tires- Not Lasting on C240 2004

c240s dont generally go threw tires. depends on if you have a 4matic. make sure your using the right size tires recommended by MB and also have the alignment checked and also get better tires?? make sure the tire pressure is correct.

Tires not lasting (agree)
I have a 2006 C-230 and I noticed the two front tires are a different size than the two rear tires. Makes for interesting tire purchasing, and yes they do seem to wear down quickly because front and back are two different size, you can't rotate them. I purchased a nice set of Bridgestones and one year later, they are worn down big time. I agree.

Tire wear
Remeber people brakes stop the wheel from turning, tires stop the car, and quick starts also contribute to tire ware. My C240 wagon is heavy and if I would stop quick all the time I will get tire ware.
Important to keep good tires not cheap ones on your car to stop you better, and run good in rain.
good luck

You all have alignment issues or worn components or both. I've learned that dealers don't really seem to know how to align a car well. When we bought our 202 new, we went through two sets of pirellis in no time.
I finally brought it an independent tire shop (not a franchise) specializing in alignments and suspension reairs. 146000 miles later, I've only bought three sets of tires, and the tires on there now have at least 25000 left on them. I've had to do one alignment after I replace the lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends.
