Rebuilding a Vacuum Pump?
Hey,
I have a 94' Mercedes Benz C280 thats in need of a new vacuum pump.My current vacuum pump #202-800-15-80 just gave up and I am forced to opened the doors maunally. I then decided to locate a vacuum pump, however ending up with no luck. I finally found a 95' C36 vacuum pump for a great deal and decided to give it a try and see if it would work with my c280. WHAM! it works, however I was not able to start the car[:'(], the pump from the c36 was newer and had a different number #202-800-17- 80 instead of the 15. I then disconnected the battery to see if it was start after I turn on and off the power, no luck[X(]I was just wondering if it was possible to get my orginal pump rebuild? Any advice on what it should do before deciding to buy a new one for $500[:@], our where I can locate one for a fair deal? Thanks in advance.
