Photos: K1 SLIM HID Kit installed :-)
Here are the photos, as promised, of the result of the SLIM HID Kit Install. Just love it. Best $ I've spent on a mod in a long time. The difference for night driving is amazing. So happy. Gotta get those daytime running wedge bulbs out and changed now ;-)
You can see my new 18" AMG-style chromes and my recent tint in this photo also. Pardon the very non-scenic photo setting and my messy garage.

RE: Photos: K1 SLIM HID Kit installed :-)
Honestly, it took about 2 hours start to finish. 1/2 of that time was just laying out the wiring, comparing it with the instructions, then testing. (You'll need a cheap VOM to test for polarity in the headlight housing OR - just remember yellow-hot, brown=neg ;-)
One tweak I had to make: The base / flange of the HID bulbs is made from ABS (?) and is about 2mm thick or so. Whereas the base / flange of the 'stock' halogen bulbs is like .5mm. The bulb receptacle in the headlight housing has a "twist and lock" sort of mechanism after you insert the bulb, and it would not do so because the base / flange of the HID bulbs was too thick. I took a small file and filed-down the base of each one very slightly and carefully - this was the most time consuming part of the job. Took about 15 minutes / bulb. Other than that though - it was a *snap*. And I'm very pleased with the result.
One thing I'd highly recommend is to get some disposable surgical (don't ask why i had them) or latex gloves and wear them the entire time. If you touch the bulbs and get any skin oils or dirt on them, they'll be toast the minute you heat them up.

First;
JP Donahue;
Your MB is awesome!
Awesome looking rims and those new fog lamps are inspiring.
Hey everyone; I want to install fog lamps to my C230 Kompressor but rather than the typical WHITE lights I see
I prefer to have ORANGE FOG lights.
In Florida we have pretty awful Fog and I depart early A.M.
so I need an extra boost of light.
Do you think this is possible?
I'm also on benzworld.
