Hi everyone, I'm a new member here on the forum and I'm considering adding a 1997 c230, but i have a few questions. First off, the vehicle I'm looking at has 67k original miles and the owner is asking $6700.00 dollars for it. Is this a fair price for this vehicle? I looked it up on the used car guides and it seems its a little high. Also, I would love to hear your input about this car...gas mileage, known problems, reliability, and most importantly how many miles can expect to get out of the 4 cylinder engine it has. The C230s have mixed reviews. Mine is an '05 with 156,000 miles on it now. Some owners have had problems, some not. The gas mileage now is 27 or so in the city and over 31 on the highway at 65mph. It can get 33+ under the right cruising conditions. Check kbb.com, edmunds.com, and cars.com for pricing if you haven't already. Prior maintenance means a lot. Ask for records or have somebody knowledgeable go with you to look it over. Good luck.
