Default C280 Wire harness

I need to replace the wire harness on my '95 C280. Is this something that can be done by an average DIY? How long would it take a competent MB mechanic? That way, I'll just double my time. Also, are the replacement wire harnesses of better quality and therefore should last longer than the original?

Thanks a ton. Very helpful information. I just have to get over the fear of screwing something up big time on the car, before I try something like this. I'll work on getting a photo of the car on the site. It's just a stock '95 C280 (with dirty alloys right now).

IMHO THE ABOVE AVERAGE DIY COULD TACKLE A JOB LIKE THIS. DO YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF 12 v SYSTEMS, A LOT IS PLUG IN, BUT IT IS NOT AS EASY AS THE C202 BOARD INDICATED. BUT THAT'S IS MY OPINION, A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL TRY TO FIX THINGS AND RUN INTO A GLICTCH THAT NO ONE ELSE MIGHT HAVE AND THEN THE PROBLEMS START.

I don't have experience with 12v systems, but it can't be that hard if it's basically plugs. My fear is taking something off/apart that I don't know how to put back together. There's always the tow truck option to the mechanic!

When I start taking things apart on my car, I have my digital camera and take pcitures of the disassembly and refer back to them when I put it back together. But then there are some parts that are not meant to be "taken" and you have to buy a new one. So, if you think you can handle this job go ahea.
