Default Hello everyone!!! I'm new here

Hi guys,

I'm new in the Mercedes world. I wanted a MB and finally bought a 2001 C240. Wanted to buy a new one but because of student loans can't afford it right now. My baby has 42,000 miles and she is nice, but I have to be honest, after visiting few MB forums I'm worried about the car. I've read that the C class is giving a lot of problems to different people out there and some regret the experience. What can I expect from the car? I love all the features but it worries me and would like to know how reliable these features and the electronics are.
I bought a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty but it’s with Guardian warranty Co. Have anyone heard about them? It was the only decent Co. that I found. I tried with the MB extended warranty but they wanted $6,000 because the car was out of the manufacture warranty. I’ve being really good with the maintenance of my cars and I’m going to stay that way specially now. I’m also a DIY guy but I’ve never worked on MB’s.
Is there any website that you guys recommend if I want to buy a body kit, suspension, CAI, exhaust etc? Where can I find manuals and tools that I should have for maintenance?
Is it true that the car comes without an oil dip stick? My car doesn’t have one and I went to the MB dealership and they want $200 for one.

Thanks in advance, I’m really exited, love the car so far and I’m looking forward to share my happy and sad moments with you all. (God willing, there will NOT be any sad moments).

welcome to the forum!
'01 W203 has more known issues than later models. however, that doesn't mean your car does.
for the parts, pls PM or email me.
C240 does not have oil dipstick. It is measured from MFD.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know of any good 'speed shops' for your mb, however, try this link for parts.
