Doors lock all by themselves
1999 C230 Kompressor, 120,00 miles. Colorado car. Colorado temperatures dropping.
I had the car at the dealer for an alignment after rebuilding the front-end. I exit the car with the keys in the ignition, shut the door to talk to the service advisor and the doors lock. Fortunately I had the trunk open so we could get back inside the car. This happened twice before I left and then a couple of times in the shop. The shop foreman couldn't find anything obvious and wanted me to reschedule. This same event happens fairly regularily to my wife who drives the car most the time.
I know that electrical problems can become bottomless pits, so now I appeal to anyone who may have experienced something like this.
Another "feature" of this problem is that occassionally when you try to start the car the alarm will go off.
I'm not sure if this is related but I tried to roll the window up tighter while driving and it rolled down a bit, the control was unresponsive, but I was able to get the window back up.
I appreciate your comments!!
