Default Diagnostic code P0170

Love my 1997 C280 but I've got a nuisance problem that keeps giving me a check engine light every 200 to 240 km driven. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and could point me in the right direction.

As I said the check engine lights comes on about every 200 - 240 km driven. The diagonistic code is "P0170 B Self adaptation CTP(idle) at limit (A61)." The snap shot has the "Part. load self-adaptation factor at 1.20" and the "CTP (idle) self-adaptation at -0.9ms. " This is all greek to me ( sometimes I miss the old days of timing lights, vacuum gauges and tach/dwell meters) so I'm wondering if someone out there knows what this is about and how to go about resolving it.

Thanks
