Cracks have appeared in the 'suround' of the black 'plastic' centre console .The console houses , switches, air vents, the mouse etc. they have appeared over about 3 month period, 1st three on LHS then one on RHS. They are only hair line cracks at the moment but if they were to spread right thro' the section on both sides I can't see how the intergrety of the console would survive. Has anyone had the same problem and if so what is the solution ,or the reason for that matter. The dealership tells me it is not covered by the warentee,surprise.

Hello, You have reached out correctly. No surprise that its not covered. after all who wants to admit they purchased a cheap plastic part and installed it in a expensive car. I do not know what Nation you live in, but Mercedes has complaint resolution systems in Canada and USA. Try contacting them first, if not satisfied a complaint registered with your local Chamber of Commerce about your dealerships lack of customer service will at least give you some chance . Allan
