C230 Kompressor oil blowback/ Mobil M synthetic oil
I just took my 2000 C230 Kompressor in and found out that it has a little oil blowback. My service center tells me that Mobil has a new oil specially formulated for Mercedes that is supposed to help solve this problem without the expense of new piston rings. Also, they are putting in a oil additive.
I am also finding that it is REAL hard to get this Mobil oil since it is OEM for Mercedes and has a M on the label with a Mercedes OEM part number on it.
Anyone with information regarding this issue?
Thanks!

The dealer's parts counter won't sell it to you? That sucks. You might try some of the major online MB part sellers like Autohauz in AZ, etc.
Just out of curiosity, how many miles on your engine?

About 128K now. Every once in a while I smell some oil burning. My service guy tells me that putting in the new oil and the oil additive should HOPEFULLY clear things up fairly soon. I stress the word hopefully. :-)
In terms of the oil, my third party service center has it and they gave me an extra bottle in case I need to add it, which I haven't needed to.
