C220 CDI diesel tank
Hi all I new here,
I am having a problem with a C220 CDI. I ran the vehicle out of diesel......!!!. I did the filling around half and after removal of air vehicle started normally. However, after some time the vehicle dies out. I bleed the system and found air again. I decided to investigate in the diesel tank. Its divided into two and the one drawing diesel out is empty compared to the other one. I will like to know how the diesel is drawn as I notice its from one tank and why one tank is being emptied faster causing air to get in the diesel line. I noticed that the return fuel is low.
Regards

So, you've committed the major sin, as it pertains...being hard headed. Your gauges don't work? Your owners manual told you not to ever do that, didn't it? Shake your head up and down, "Yes," because I know it did! Now you need to perhaps spend serious cash to correct your error.
You will definitely need Snanceki or Sleepwalker, or one of the other Certified Technician to help you with this one. I'm just here to paddle your hiney, and tell you not to "ever" do that again! But, I know you won't hear me, and that's o.k., but you're definitely going to pay for it! As it is said, "Experience is the best teacher." Well, I hope it works for you. However, there are some lessons that we don't need to experience, in order to learn them. Which one's is anybody's guess.
Look up one the Tech's via this Forum, before you go to the dealership if you can, and see if they can help you.
