98 c230 rough idle and shaking
Hello,
I have a 98 c230 that shakes obnoxiously at low idle and mostly when in drive at a stop light.
The problem started a few months ago and have been slowly fixing the so called problems from then to now. I got a misfire code in which oil was supposedly leaking from valve cover gasket.
I replaced valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets, coil pack, spark plugs and no help. Then I read it could be the motor mounts. Changed them and the transmission mount. Some said it could be the 02 sensors changed both of them and still shakes. The idle at neutral is about 800 or so and drops to 700 in drive. Barely noticeable shaking in neutral to ridiculous in drive and reverse when stopped. The only code is bad 02 sensor by cat which I replaced.
Looking to see if anyone had similar problems, browsed this forum but all answers I've seen I have fixed with the exception of a mass airflow sensor. Any help would be great, run out of ideas. Thanks
John

go to autozone and pick up a can of MAF sensor cleaner spray and try spraying the sensor but don't touch the sensor...If you Have a K&N filter the oil can foul the sensor and in some cases can damage it...Its an $800 repair if you damage it...
