Default 1996 C280 Dead Battery, locked out of trunk

Hello Everyone, I have a 96 C280. The key fob broke some time ago. The blade part came out and so I was using just the metal blade to open doors/trunk/ and start car. I misplaced it. So, I started using the valet key. Yesterday I left my dome light on and today the battery is dead. I cannot open the trunk with the valet key. I need to get to the battery to give the car a boost. Is there any other way I can get into the trunk? Thanks for any help. Love n Peace, Quincelady

To jump start from front do this:
1. positive jumper cable connect to the starter terminal,
2. negative jumper cable connect to anything metal to the engine.

To access the trunk without key you need to remove rear shelf, starting with removing rear seat, rear backrest, head restraints and panelling on both sides. Rear seat belts are attached to the body through the panneling. Pull off edge guard in area of lining and unfasten hooks, clips and tabs. Lift rear shelf at front and remove.

Turn the trunk key counterclockwise (left) and hold it while activating the manual handle. Been doing this crap all week!

Default Battery disconnected, trying to get into trunk

I'm having a similar problem.

My battery's been draining and I've had to recharge it overnight about once a week. Tonight, I accidentally closed the trunk with the battery disconnected, and it's locked. I don't think jumping it from the front will help.

I've tried using the key, but it's not working.

Is the only way to open the trunk by removing the whole backseat and then reconnecting the battery?

Thanks

Default Help! 1995 Mercedes doors are locked and vacuum pumps not working!

My passenger's door lock was not working for a while, but my trunk and the driver's door locks were working just fine. Then, the driver's door lock was not working... fine, I still had the trunk lock working. After leaving my car parked for a few months, my trunk lock DOES NOT work anymore, but there is resistance in it (unlike the driver's and passenger's doors) My guess is that the battery may need to be charged, but how do I open the trunk if I cannot get into the vehicle? Any way I can open the trunk or get inside the car? Please help! Thank you!!!

Default Flat battery solution

If you have flat battery there is a device that can help you out to open the trunk. It is called Easy Starter. All you got to do is to connect device to cigarette lighter port, wait for 10-15min. and start your car. Price is $20,oo.
