Default 1995 C280 Shaking/Rocking When Travelling Under 30 MPH

Hello guys, on friday my C280 (1995) started to act up on me. Out of nowhere my check engine light came on and my car started to shake when moving under 30 MPH.

The shaking was from front to back, giving the same feelingas ifI was pumping my brakes. I drove the car for about 5 miles and parked. When I came back to my car 3-4 hours later I drove 5 miles home and there were no problems. The next morning I got in my car to drive to work and initially everything was OK. But then as I was idling at a light I felt my car shaking a bit again. When I accelerated at first it got worse but then when I was over 30 MPH it was back to working fine.

I got to work and the only thing I knew was to check my oil so I did. My oil was low so I added a pint of 10W40. From there my car was a bit better but again yesterday it acted up on me on one of my three trips.

I have been filling my car with mid-grade gasoline (89) and it has been serviced regularly. Mileage is 108,000.

I took the car into the mechanic last night. I was wondering if you guys have any idea what is wrong.

Thanks.
