Due to new guidelines from Mercedes Benz we have changed our URL from www.mercedescalifornia.com to www.mercedesbenzdealerlongbeach.com. According to the new guidelines, Mercedes Benz dealers can not own domain names that use town names or regions in the statethat are not part of their official business name. So our domain "mercedescalifornia" is not valid nor would "losangelesmercedes" because our official business name is "Mercedes Benz of Long Beach".

According to the new rules, Dealers can notuse Mercedes car model names in their url or any names (ex: mercedesclass.com) or names like "mercedesbenzcars" that again, don't have their official business name included in the URL. There are many violations of the new rules but we decided to comply to the new guidelines.

What will beinteresting to see is how MBZ polices the many large dealerships that have had non-compliant URLS for years. Time will tell but the only people who benefit from this policy will be lead generation websites that will scoop up broad MBZ names and just resell leadsto dealers.
