B Class Boot stuck
#11
You need the whole handle and switch about 100 quid, 4 screws to change and the electric connector. Don't forget to superglue the water pipe back on!

Thanks to all who kindly provided advice on stuck boot lock and maybe this will save you some money.
After obtaining a denial from MB customer services that this was a design fault and a suggestion I take it to a main dealer to be repaired, I crawled in the back and popped off the small panel. I unplugged the wet connector block that I found to have been sprayed by the loose blue pipe feed to the rear washer. Blew it with a hand held hair drier for five minutes and reconnected it to find it works again. Then glued the pipe back in.
After being with Mercedes for years, Sl, SLK, A class, B class. This week will see me moving to BMW as the B Class has had numerous problems and it is unacceptable.

I experience a similar problem: water has leaked behind the boot panel because the water pipe came loose. The water dripped on the electric circuit, which caused corrosion on the power connector that is attached to the lock. I would need to replace the power connector / lock to fix this.
Where can I order such parts?
Is this something I can order&fix easily myself, or would I need to go to a Mercedes dealer?
Thanks!

Great. And can I buy this handle somewhere online or in a "parts shop", or do I need to address a Mercedes Dealer?

Where do Mercedes dealers actually order their replacement parts, and can private individuals order there too?
