Leather or Vinyl Seats

RE: Leather or Vinyl Seats
I wouldn't let the console stop me. I'd jump over the damn thing, or pull her over.
Yeah, yeah. I know. You're a cripple with a bad back. You shouldn't be wrestling with women even on a bench seat.

You know lugnut, for once I have to agree with U. Talking about being crippled, I was talking to my lawyer today and even with a handicapped, bona fide and all that I still have no rights in my upcoming divorce, I am at the mercy of my old lady here in Mass. Interestingly, I read an article Mass and NV have the fairest divorce laws in the USA. I an imagine what the other states must be like. I am probably loose my shirt and underpants also.

Personally I love the leather that Ferrari uses, but don't know where it comes from. Also, Rolls Royce has fine leather, which I understand is English in origin. There is also MB TEX but I don't know if they ever made seat covers from it??

Sleepwalker, How was the vacation? Good to see you posting again. I wrote a post on the SL board and so far no replies I have a chance to pick up a 79 450SLC for around $4K, car looks to be in excellent condition, the present owner has it 14 years, no winters always garaged, new rubber, all original, paint wheels, interior, all look very goo condition, the only exterior fault I could see from the pics set the center bar on the dril is drooping a bit. All the chrome is there all instrucments work. Now the downside, it is only a weekend driver, not maintained as a daily driver and the AC hasn't worked since the owner bought it. What could be some of the issues with a AC that has worked for 14 years. the car has no title, but that is OK here in Mass. I couldn't get anything on the VIN on Carfax, yet it has a recent Mass safety inspection, miles are 114K. What should I be looking for. My son and I are going for a test drive next Sunday and I am bring money to buy if I like it and it runs well. It is a 200 miles round trip for here. So what else should I be asking the owner about the car. It looks from the pics as it almost rolled off the showroom floor.

RE: Leather or Vinyl Seats
I have a '99 E300 D. The seats really have not done well at all. The front bottoms and backs don't look good at all. I would like to replace them and am looking for suggestions on how to do that. I don't want to try and do this myself. Do I have these custom made and then have someone put them on or what?
Can you recommend places where I can order these?
Are these leather or Tex? Should I replace with leather or tex?
Thanx very much.

MB-Tex vinyl is the Mercedes vinyl. It all depends on the year, make and model of your Mercedes if it has vinyl or leather. Both materials are the best leathers and vinyls you will find in the automotive industry. I should know because my family owns Nacho's Auto Upholstery and Covertible Tops Online. My family has been in the Auto Upholstery business for over 40 years. So leather and vinyls are our business. Tell me the year, make and model of your MBZ and I can tell you what you got on your seats.
