Here's the scoop I've searched this and several other forums for this issue and no winner. I have an 02 ML500 with the nav ready radio and bose the volume seems to do as it pleases randomly increasing and decreasing on its own (in huge intervals) the volume also seems to hesitate when I adjust it up or down. Has anyone else expierienced this or know anything about it?

 

Do you see a difference when the windows are open, or when your changed speeds. your audio system is programmed to do that. Its called spees sensitive volume control. the vehicle recognizes what speed your going and weather your windows are open or closed and changes the volume accordingly. Is that what y our experiencing? if so that can be shut off but you will need to take it to a dealer so they can hook up a scanner and turn it off...let me know...frank

 

Not speed sense volume b/c it does this while sitting still in the driveway windows up or down.
