Looking at possibly buying a 1984 300d. Currently not running because current owner said he blew a oil cooler line in his driveway. Is blowing a oil cooler line the end of the road for the engine. What should I check for? He wants less than $800 for car. It has 200,000 miles on it

 

Thank you, I was concerned when the current owner said it just blew a oil cooler line in my driveway and its an easy fix. I said how long has it been sitting he replied 3 years if it was an easy fix it wouldn't have been sitting for 3 years. Thanks again for the info.
