The new Bilstein shock absorbers for my '83 300SD did not come with dust covers or stop bumpers. Perhaps the manufacturer assumes the old dust covers and stop bumpers will be reused. The dust covers on the old shocks are not removable, probably F&S. I do not see part listings for these components on the major MB parts retailer websites. Are not the dust covers essential to the longevity of the shock?
