Questions about two CIS Components:

a) Does the Fuel Damper (#185) have any internal components that can wear out. How can it be tested? I have seen the one from my car M117.985 / 107.024 and it looks perfectly clean without any internal rattles, although it is the original, from 1979.

b) My car comes with what MB EPC system refers to simply as "Valve" 116 470 0193. It is #170 on the diagram. Does anyone know what is the function of this Valve? Can it be tested?
