Default C220 wiper,is it normal for the intermittent setting to take a long time to start

is it normal for the wiper to take so long to start after being set to the intermittent wipe and the intervals seem to be erratic

it is rain-sensing wiper, not "interval" or intermittent wiper.

so if there is NO RAIN...there is NO WIPING.

if there is LITTLE RAIN...there is LITTLE WIPING.

if there is LOTS OF RAIN...there will be a lot of WIPER ACTION.

i have just looked at my wipers again and i think that they are not worked by a rain sensor.my owners manual makes no mention of it either, just saying intermittent wipe.maybe its on the USA model only for 1995
