My air conditioning stops working after a period of about 15 minutes when the ECU is on. Essentially, no air flow comes into the vehicle, even though you can feel it is either blowing cool or hot air behind the vents.

If EC is off or if the ignition is off for 10-15 minutes, air flow slowly returns and then comes through the vents as usual. If I switch the EC on again, it works fine for a bit (hot or cool), then the air stops coming through.

Last time I posted elsewhere, Steve was kind enough to post the folowing reply:

"I had a similiar problem - it was caused by the cooling element freezing up and therefore blocking the air flow.
If you switch to eco mode and the problem goes away this will confirm it.
It was caused by the temperature sensor on it not working.
You can check if its reading the correct temperature via the climate control panel
Dealer replaced mine at little cost.

My usually excellent garage are not clear on the solution: can anyone advise where or how I can get this sorted. I suspect it's something fairly simple, however, if I don't get the right diagnosis, I suspect itcould be very expensive!!

Steve - if you are still about, did you get a part reference etc?
