W123 300D A/C Wiring Diagram & Pics?
Mods: Please delete my older post here: https://mercedesforum.com/forum/dies...details-55914/
NEW POST:
I need help with the wiring for the A/C system, please?
It's blistering hot here & we're stopped dead in the process of fixing the A/C without some information.

I've included a console picture in case it helps to ID the type of wiring.
Sure appreciate anything anyone can share ... thanks!

This YouTube video helped with getting at the switches:

Once inside the console everything appears intact.
In the engine compartment - are just the two wires to the compressor everything needed?
There's a second insulated run with two wires that runs down near the compressor, to which a prior owner added some wire, but it's not apparent to what that may belong.
There is no break in the wires to the compressor - though the connector seems to float a but - is that normal - or does it suggest a potential problem?
Thanks!

OK, finally got back to this ...
Unplugged at compressor and Ohm meter shows a change when the hot/cold wheel is turned on the console & also when the left most button - defroster - is pressed.
Next, with the car running the voltage reading is only a trace at.0049 but it does vary when the hot/cold wheel is turned (suggesting that the level-control rheostat is working).
Where best to start looking for the cause of 12v not getting to the compressor connector, please?
Lacking a wiring diagram & pics it's unclear if I'm tracing to a relay at some unknown location or to a fuse somewhere.
Thanks - David

Here is about everything I needed ... Searching can be an art - finding stuff often depends on how one asks the question.

I just tried to read that diagram & it's not easy.
Anyone have a better scan, please?
Preferably something I can print full page - not that my eyes are aging or anything ...
We may finally get this thing fixed - and before the hot weather has passed.
Thanks - David

Can someone suggest a place that I can get the needed diagram?
Why is such a piece of critical data such a pain to locate?
It's so frustrating to be unable to troubleshoot for lack of simple documentation.
Sigh ... thanks ... David
