You need to ID if you have a KKK Turbo or a Garrett (Air Research) Turbo.
The term Rebuilding is used rather loosely on the forums.
As previously stated many have had good luck with a used turbo.
For your question.
The bearing and Seal Kits are sold on eBay and a few internte sites.
If you do some internet searches "rebuilding Garrett T3 turbo chargers" there is some info.
Issues:
Some of the Turbos have the Turbine Wheel a Thrust Plate/washer and the Compressor wheel (properly Torqued to the shaft) balanced as an assembly. (These are supposed to be marked at the end of the shaft but it is often hard to see it)
Others have the parts balanced individually.
During a real Rebuild at a Real Shop they would rebalance them.
Next is the Bearings: Some have said the Made in China Ones do not hold up.
No matter who's Bearings you use I have not read in even one of the internet Articles on Rebuiliding Turbos and specs on the Bearing Bore, Shaft OD or the Shaft end and side play.
Also in the articles no one seems to know exactly what the Shaft Nut is torqued to.
One person in one of the articles found he had a Rebuilt Turbo that had oversized OD Bearings. The stock Bearing kit he bought was too small.
So the best that can be said from what I have read is that people have taken apart their Turbos, insalled new stock sized Bearings and new seals and reistalled the Turbine Shaft and Compressore Wheel and torqued them to the wrong torque.
For some this has worked for others not.
The other option you have is to get a Junk Turbo and just swap the Turbine Housing if you know your Turbo is otherwise OK. However, the Bolts that Hold the Exhaust Trubint to the Bearing Housing are often Rusted Solidly in and if the end of the Bolts are exposed to the Hot Gasses I have even seen the ends of the Bolts burned making them hard to get out.
(Note: Some Turbine Shafts are left hand threaded; look before you remove the nut.)

If you have a Garrett T3 the below is my notes of sites;only 2 sites agreed on the Shaft Nut Tourqe. There is som U-Tube Video on rebuilding but again they say "Tighten the Shaft Nut" but not what to tighten it to.

The Garrett T3 used on my 84 300D has the Waste Gate Actuator under the Aluminum Compressor Housing and pointing forward;look for an about 5/16 hose connecting the Compress housing to the Waste Gate.
The KKK Turbos have the Waste Actuator in a different position. I believe it points to the Passanger side (US) Fender Well.
On either there should be a Tag somewhere. On the Garrett there is a tag on the Aluminum Plate of the compressor Housing. Also on the Garrett the Compressor housing my have Air Research or Garrett cast into it or noting at all.
The Benz World thread is OK as far as the take apart stuff but is another no specs thread.
"16. Install the propeller and the new nut" as an example does not tell you the torquing proceedure.
At least it does tell you to line up things but has no pics of the alignment marks you are supposedt to align.
So it is your call.
Ounce in a while I do searches for the specs on the Garrett T3 Turbo but have not fould anything concrete.
