'96 E300D injector lines leaking at pump
I have a '96 E300D that I'm restoring to get roadworthy again and I've discovered a fuel leak at the top of the pump at the injector lines. It seems to seep right at the base of the injector line connectors that look like a fine-toothed gear. My question is how I can remove these connectors? Is there a special tool I have to get? Are there replaceable seals inside or do I just have to tighten them up maybe? See attached picture.
Thanks

Thanks for the info. I ordered the tool and have a seal kit coming as well. I presume once I replace the seals and reconnect the fuel lines it'll take some cranking to get all the air out of the lines. Should crack the lines and bleed them at the injectors on top of the engine?

They are sold on eBay and also used to be sold on Amazon.
The kit is O-rings and some copper-colored washers. I would look for those on eBay.
I don't know if instructions how to do it are here on this forum, but I am sure benzworld.org and peachparts.com has instructions. However, the first threads you need to go to are the ones were people had problems. Also, the torque is in inch pounds/pound inches not the typical foot pounds/pounds foot.
It is a job you need to becarful on.
I am not sure if fuel injection shops also have mechanics that would do the seal and washer replacement for you and give a warranty with the job.
