Default 83 300SD Electrical problem

My 300 SD keeps blowing the fuse for the blower motor/AC only when I run the fan on high. Common sense would say that the blower motor is drawing too many amps. I switched the motor with to one from my 85 SD...same. Then I swaped the blower control, ECU, and puch button switch, same thing.

I can put my finger on the fuse a feel it heat up after I switch the blower to high. AC or heat is no difference.

Has anyone experienced this problem???? I'm perplexed.

A poor ground within the system seems most likely.

That makes sense, any idea where the ground for the blower is. Seems like a logical place to start?

I believe Benz grounds are all a light brown color. It's not really necessary to fix the existing one. Run a new one. That will also prove whether or not the theory is correct.
