Tree sap or something like it
I live in Florida. All cars in our condo parking lot area have little red dots on it. It's either tree sap or residue from a building roof repair we park up against. I have a SL500 (silver) and two spots down there is an SLK (silver). We both have it.
I tried a general cleaner and to no avail. I then tried a "bug remover" and it removed the raised portion of the bumps but left the stain. I'm hesitant to try a rubbing compound as I'm not learned enough and don't want to work off my clerarcoat. I know only enough about paint to get me into trouble!
Can anyone recommend a compound I could try that might work and save me a trip to the body shop? The SLK owner thought he had some goo-gone (not sure of name) but he was out and has to get some. He is out of town and I'm wanting to get this stuff off my car ASAP!!
Any help would be appreciated!!
