Paint Protection

RE: Paint Protection
I had the 3m clear bra installed of my 06 e320cdi right after purchase. So far, I an very happy with it and it is very hard to see except the edge line is a little visible. I watched an experienced installer install this and I promise you will want to have a professional install. The process is quite involved, I would suggest also having your product installed on the front of your mirrors and the lower six inches of your hood. You mentioned installing this product over your headlights--this may or may not be legal in your area. Good luck with your new car

RE: Paint Protection
My 2005 SLK Diamond Silver has it installed when I bought it “new to you.” I purchased the car from a MB dealer in Massachusetts Nov 2006. The Roadster has 17K miles and appears to have had tolerable care and service (the owner appears not to have been too meticulous about care for it).
The film looks nearly invisible and has reduced the stone nicks. The Roadster has some repaired chips in the hood. The areas covered include the bumper, leading edge of the hood, A pillars, leading edges of rear fenders, and mirrors.
I am concerned that the paint will etch or color at the film’s edges. I considered pealing it off to avoid any lines. However, if it doesn’t yellow and stays stuck on, maybe the next owner will be happy with the film being left on.
Hope this helps.
