I just got a 1990 190E. As you may know, right above the radio is an area where you can hold 8 cassettes. In this modern age, this does not serve much of a purpose (mainly because I put it a unit with a cd player). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do with this area in the center? Is it easy to pull out? Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated. If you've done something similar, pics would also be of great help. Thanks a lot.

I was wondering if maybe it would be possible to install a navigation system in that spot. From what I understand, as long as I can connect a power supply and a gps antenna, the system should work. It doesn't even have to be a COMAND system. Am I just full of it or is this a possibility?

You have a few options. If you dont already have it to fill the space.
Aftermarket head unit and Equalizer
Command Unit
DVD Player and TV screen
Cubby Hole for storage (Try Ebay for those)
CD Holder like this....

You'll probably need to do some custom work tho.
