Mine took two filter elements ('01 SLK 320). Around $100 for both which is less then changing the stock elements three times. I noticed a little power increase, better fuel economy in town and I just feel better. I have been using K & N's since the early 1980's on all my motorcycles with great results.
I got 'em on my Mustang and Saturn. I'll get one on the Mercedes when it needs a new one.
