im new to the forums, just wanted to know where to find a 2.3 16 v motor for my 86 190e. are there any other motors thatd fit? links would be great? what am i getting myself into with a swap? i come from the land of 240sx and swaps arent to complicated. is this swap pretty straight forward?

 

Try ebay or junkyards for the 16V engine. There are other motors that will fit, but you need a transmission to go with it. You could go with a 2.6 engine also. You could go with a 300E engine which is basicly the same as the 2.6, but its bored out. But I recommend a 2.6 or 300E transmission with all that. If swapping to any of those you will need all the electronics and etc.

 

electronics as in ecu and harness ect.

 

Yeah you'll need the Bosch CIS fuel injection system, the ECU, fuel pump relay, and the R/16 switch.
