Default CLS500 tranny issues?

It has been a while since I have owned a Mercedes. (had ML320 and CLK430 years ago) I am about ready to pull the trigger on a sweet 2006 CLS500 with 20k miles. I have read online about the possibility of transmission jerking/slipping/etc. issues in the CLS500 models. I have only found a few brief blogs on the matter with little info and couldn't find much info outside of that. How prevalent are the issues/% of cars affected? Should it be a concern to me or since it is covered under factory warranty, I should be fine? Have the issues been resolved with TSB or whatever or are there other issues I should worry about? Please advise.

I would say have it looked over before purchase. Pay a shop $80 or whatever they charge and have them look at your trans. The warrenty now is that a dealer warrenty or Mercedes full coverage?

full coverage now so hopefully no worries. Also, I plan on getting an extended warranty. Does 5 years 60k miles starting now for about 2600 sound like a fair deal for platinum coverage with 0 deductible?

Does anybody know where you can find a list of option codes and what they mean. I have a service history report with option codes and the descriptions are partially cut off and I want to make sure I know exactly what it has. One thing I remember is 530 which I think is the option for having a navigation system which is important to me. I was told they didn't think it had NAV but according to this code, I would say yes.

I have herd of this website that list all the codes for Mercedes and BMW. I dont know if it exist or not. I would try and search for a tech on here. There are a couple and ask them for a list.

If you can supply the complete VIN number I will pull a vehicle data card from the epc and post it here.

Thank you very much for sending the datacard. It worked and I see a better description of options now. My dealer bought it at an auction and didn't think it had NAV but if I see code 530 Command DVD APS with Navigation then I am assuming he was wrong and it does have NAV right?
