newbie 2000 s430 maintenance questions

hi, would like to know how the maintenance is on this car. i'm a bit concerned about the air suspension and was wondering if it is troublesome. also are things rebuildable, or new parts needed, also costs. i've been told the e class is more reliable and the s class is very troublesome. i this true. what mercedes would you guys recomend for good driveability and low maintenance. just for clarity i've owned a lincoln mark8 for 9 years with air suspension and a bmw 740i for 1 year.the bmw was a bit of a problem maintenance and suspension wise. i try to work on what i can which is mostly minor stuff, tune ups, alternators, starters, etc. i've repalced a rear air bag on the mark which was pretty easy. for things i don't feel comfoprtable with doing myself i first research the problem so i know what i'm dealing with and don't get ripped off by an unscrupulous mechanic. i really like the s430, but waht mercedes would you suggest.

Mercedes and BMW good cars but they all require Maintenance if you want a car with no maintenance get a Lexus Ls All you have to do is a oil change and they are good cars also.
