Hi All,
I am a newbie to this forum and would like to get some help with my wife's car, a 2004 S430. Although I am an old gearhead having restored some old 50's & 60's cars (currently have a '65 Corvette Sting Ray), I find myself out of my league with some of the stuff on the S430. The leather on the steering wheelhas become worn and somewhat unsightly. I have been advised that re-dying the leather is less than satisfactory and lasts only about a year. I have therefore purchased a very nice salvage wheel of the same color and vintage. I amreasonably mechanically inclined but the thought of fooling with the airbag and in-wheel electronics is a bit daunting. Any tips or should I leave it to the professionals?
