1966 Mercedes 230 SL
Folks,

This is a classic Mercedes Roadster. Includes hardtop and soft top.
It is a 6 cylinder, 4 speed manual. No air conditioning.
I am the son of the second owner. My dad purchased the car in late 1970's.
In early 1980's my father had the following done:
[ul][*]New (original equipment) engine placed at approx. 69,000 miles. Current engine, therefore, has less than 25K on it.
[*]White leather interior (now needs some care and cleaning)[*]New (original color) burgundy paint job (see sample pictures for type of paint wear); no rust.
[*]New tan (synthetic, nylon?) soft top (very tight, difficult to place but looks great when up).[/ul]The car drives very well; great acceleration, no leaks, no smoke. Needs a new accelerator pedal. Clutch pedal (but NOT clutch!) sticks a bit. The radio and heat duct controls do not function. Only driven April-Sept. Always garaged. Has not been used much in past 10 years.
Sold as-is, no warranty. $1000 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of end of auction; remainder by certified check with 10 days. Buyer may pick up in greater Chicago area or Buyer can arrange for shipping. Should be drivable to reasonable destination.
