Default Airmatic Help

I am new to this fourm everyone in my family has a Benz beside me i still have a Lincon TownCar but i am having issues with my brothers car

Well My brother went on a trip for a two weeks i started his car ocassionally its a 2002 S 430 and now it went down to -30 i live in Canada. I boosted the battery let it run for 30 mins battery dead but thats not the problem when he was gone the front drivers side dropped down and it was touching the wheel i turned the car on it raised and such but now it says airmatic bring to gagrge or what ever it says what can be the case then today after i got the car started the messgae always stayed on the display and when i turned off the car it dropped a again i hear like a hissing sound of some sort but it only dropped a little not all the way. could there be a leak in the bag? Whats the labour and cost on that?

Thank you so much

there is probably a leak in a front strut since you said that the car went down right after you stopped it, so i would say check the hoses from the pump to the struts, if the hoses are good, then strut is your problem

its common and normal for that series, its the strut thats broken, no need to waste time in checking for anything else, there is a repair kit available or you can have the whole strut replaced, the first one is the cheaper option, will the repair one last long, answer practically the same as a new strut.

The struts leak at the top.. Open the hood and check the top of the strut for a crack. There is a repair kit!! No need in replacing the whole strut...

if you want to you can also check your hoses on the right side that go to the pump and the ones that go to the struts

As per your situation, it seems that your strut is broken, you really don't need to check in anything because it also happened to my car a year ago, I thought it was the hose in the pump but when I brought to my dealer they told me to buy a repair kit because my Mercedes strut is leaking... They made some replacement and it was fix right away...
