I am looking for an original AMG-Spec exhaust for a W-126 [1990] model 420SEL. I have seen such a system on a handful of AMG-modified cars [mostly sohc 6.0 versions] in the U.S. I really am only looking for the rear muffler assembly, thinking that this might be a interesting [if modest] add-on to my otherwise standard car. No place on the internet seems to know where I might locate such a part. Any suggestions?

W-126 authentic AMG-spec exhaust/parts or even the likes will be probably one of the hardest performance kits to find. One, they are no longer made for W126 and AMG have turned it's focus completely on the newer models and engine builds for them. And two, people with the AMG w126 usually never get rid of them and are in good condition. And most aftermarket shops never knew AMG made parts for the W126. That 6.0 SOHC is one engine that seems more myth than reality sometimes. You see them but no one know where it came from or how to get one or nothing. Man, what I would do to get my hands on one of those engines.
