I am taking delivery of a CLK500 in a few months. Can't decide on the colors fo the exterior/interior/top. Thinking of brilliant silver/ash/ash top. But, I'm open for suggestions. Anyone have this color combo. What are the "classic" Mercedes colors. Any cool colors? Any to stay away from. What say the group?

I have a CLK 500 Cab in black obsidian metallic) and charcoal leather seats. I highly recommend it. I used to have the older CLK 320 with black (regular) and light grey seats, and after 3 years the paint was very subceptible to scratches and the seats had color dark color transfer from clothing. Of course, the exterior is subjective, but I really recommend a dark color for the seats. Finally, the CLK 500 comes with the AMG kit installed. If you are getting the CLK 350, order it with the AMG kit finish; otherwise, it does not look very sporty. Good luck, and enjoy!

I just noticed in your message that you are getting the CLK 500 so no need to worry about the AMG finish. One more thing, try to get it with the ipod kit pre-installed; otherwise, it will cost you an arm and a leg later to install (I am spending $800 for the kit and installation)
