Okay, I am an idiot.
I bought a very cherry '97 SL500 with 50,000 miles from the original owner. No problem so far.
I wanted to upgrade the wheels and sought out options. I settled on 18" staggered AMG (not chrome!) wheels and started searching. I found a set, with tires in decent shape on Ebay. I paid $1400 delivered.
Well now I find they are for the "new" stlye SL, not my 129 body.
Anybody have a need for them? Want pics? Make me an offer? Trade for the right wheels for a 129? Have some of the "right" wheels for sale?
I prefer not to ship them.
