No manuals, MB sells an internet service, very pricey!

If you have an U.S. model, you can sign on your vehicle at www.mbusa.com (http://www.mbusa.com) and they may have a manual for you to download, free. (I've signed on my car, 2001 CLK430 and they have free manualfor download)

I couldn't find one to download, but I bought a used 2000 S430 manual off the internet for about $40. Search google for your year/model and you should find a number of people selling them.

Buying the actual manual is probably better than a download, anyway, because you can keep it with you in the car.

I bought the manuals for my car from MBUSA - they had everything and it was pretty cheap. I think the Owner's Manual was around $15? it was much cheaper than I was finding on eBay. ... so yes, it's easy to get new manuals for older mercedes.

by the way, this is my first post and I"ve got a 1996 S500 Coupe. :)
